WHERE DO YOU PUT GOLF CLUBS IN A GTX1?

The Ford GTX1 is a "street legal" high-performance racing machine - it's been clocked at 0 to 60 in 3 seconds flat. But for a lot of guys who own a Ford GT or GTX1, it's also a lot of fun to drive and to have fun with other people. For many, however, having fun means playing golf. Thus, the question arises: "How do you have fun with a GTX1 (or a GT) and also play golf?

Answer: You install a trunk that will hold your clubs, shoes, bag etc!

Below are some pictures of a custom-made trunk for my GTX1 that was designed and produced by Bernard Guerin at Guerin Engineering, here in St. Petersburg, Florida. This trunk design, by the way, can be installed on any Ford GT - not just the GTX1. In addition to the inside trunk, the GTX1 (or stock Ford GT) will also be fitted with a custom, mechanized "reverse-opening" clam shell that will provide the rear access to the trunk. It's an ingenius design, and it works flawlessly. Check it out.

THE STORY OF HOW THE FORD GTX1 WAS CREATED

The historical background story of how the Ford GTX1 was created is a fascinating read. Although the GTX1 is no longer in production, the Genaddi Design Group website is well worth the visit. The GTX1 Story (scroll to bottom of page) is an all-American dream come true, and a marvelous tribute to innovation, creativity and skilled craftsmanship.

The Genaddi Design Group website is packed with numerous photographs and videos, including a special series of videos hosted by Mark Gerisch, who was the founder of the Genaddi Design Group, that were produced specially for The Dupont Registry. It is probably the best set of videos I have seen that demonstrate some of the special features of the GTX1. Go there and enjoy the show!

If anyone has seen other videos featuring the GTX1, please post a comment and send the link. My intention (hope) is to create a library of GTX1 Videos.
